In Vologda Region, a System of Natural and Man-made Safety will be Created

The Head of the region Oleg Kuvshinnikov and Minister for Emergency Situations Mr Vladimir PuchkovI discussed implementation of this pilot project in training center in Vytegra town.

The system includes a single control point, situational centers in cities and districts of the region, as well as the system emergency call services on a single number "112".

In addition, at the moment the creation of monitoring fire situation in forests subsystem is being discussed. Another innovative solution is the use of public warning in case of emergency by SMS messages, "Twitter" and other social networks.

"In 3 years we will create and implement the first satge of this large complex systems. In the long prospective, of course, we will have to implement new approaches and developments that have emerged during implementation and deployment of the system, "- said Vladimir Puchkov, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"We guarantee that by the end of 2012 the project of creating a system of public warning, monitoring system will be launched, and by the end of 2013, we will launch an Integrated Control Security Center of Vologda town, which will incorporate all areas of Vologda region", - said Regional Governor - Mr Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
