105 years of the Great October Socialist Revolution

On the night of November 7-8 (according to the new style), 1917, in Petrograd, on a signal - a shot from the Aurora cruiser, armed workers, soldiers and sailors, led by V.A. Antonov-Ovseenko captured the Winter Palace, overthrew the Provisional Government. And the All-Russian II Congress of Soviets, which was taking place at that time, proclaimed Lenin's decrees on the World, on the Earth and the Power of the Soviets.

The Great October Socialist Revolution has come to pass!

The result of the Great October Revolution was the creation of the world's first proletarian state - the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. A state in which 130 peoples and nationalities lived peacefully, which was able to win the most destructive war of the twentieth century, and after only a few years to begin an ambitious space program. All this became possible only because industrialization, collectivization and cultural revolution were carried out in the Soviet Union in the shortest possible time, a powerful Red Army was created.

The created scientific, technical, military potential continues to serve modern Russia. Many scientists and engineers, public figures, servicemen trained in the Soviet Union are still working for the good of Russia. For example, technologies for monitoring systems, warning and prevention of emergencies (SMIS) were developed by scientists and engineers from the USSR.

The socialist revolution predetermined all further development not only of Russia, but also led to the collapse of the colonial system in the countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America, the creation of dozens of socialist and non-aligned states. The camp of socialist states, countries of the non-aligned movement that took shape after the Great Patriotic War, made it possible to ensure the longest peaceful period of the existence of mankind on earth.

The Day of the October Revolution on November 7 is celebrated all over the world, officially celebrated in Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Transnistria. The legendary cruiser, the symbol of the October Revolution, was placed in eternal parking at Petrogradskaya Embankment in Leningrad in November 1948. It is a museum ship, a branch of the Central Naval Museum, an object of the cultural heritage of the Russian Federation.
