September 13, 2025, marked the official opening of the National Space Center (NSC), equipped with SMIS, SMIK brand "BASIS"
In the Russian capital, September 13, 2025, was marked by the official opening of the National Space Center (NSC). The ceremony was attended by: Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Roscosmos Director Dmitry Bakanov.
The NSC is located on the territory of the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center, located in the Filevsky Park area. This project, which united the efforts of the Moscow government and the Roscosmos corporation, was implemented over several years, starting in 2019.
The central element of the NSC is a three-sided 47-story tower 288 meters high, reminiscent of a rocket installed on a launch pad. It took 10th place among the tallest buildings in Moscow.
This building houses key structures: the main office and operational headquarters of Roscosmos, a training center, management companies of rocket and space industry enterprises, and others. It is important to note that the skyscraper houses the Roscosmos Space Flight Control Center.
The NSC is equipped with a Structured System for Monitoring and Control of Engineering Systems of Buildings and Structures (SMIS), including a subsystem for monitoring engineering (load-bearing) structures, hazardous natural processes and phenomena (SMIK) of the BASIS brand.
SMIS/SMIK allows monitoring changes in the deformation state of the supporting structures of an object in real time. In the event of deviation of the measured indicators from the standard values by an amount greater than the established value (Monitoring Passport), this information is automatically transferred to the Facility's DDS and (optionally) to the day-to-day management bodies of the Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies (RSChS).
Technical solutions are implemented on the basis of the Software and Hardware Complex SMIS/SMIK developed by the Engineering Center of Civil Defense and Emergencies BASIS/OOO BASIS-INTELLECT (PTK SMIS/SMIK). The specified complex is the result of many years of joint work between the developer organization and the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia (FGBU VNII GOChS). The SMIS/SMIK PTC meets the technical requirements of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for software and hardware complexes of SMIS facilities interfaced with the RSChS daily management bodies. The complex was accepted for supply to the Russian Emergencies Ministry by Order No. 257 dated May 5, 2012.
